Location

• The American Tobacco Trail (ATT) is just a block and a half away, providing easy access to over 22 miles of trails on the ATT alone! Want to go on a long bike ride? Hit the trail for a scenic view of Durham, Orange & Wake Counties. The ATT also connects with the Downtown Trail, Ellerbe Creek Trail, Third Fork Creek Trail, Rocky Creek Greenway, Woodcroft Trails, White Oak Greenway, and more. So much to explore!

• The Cove is just about 2.5 miles from Rockwood (some of the most diverse cuisine all in one block like Nana’s, NuvoTaco, Q-Shack, Thai Cafe, Rockwood Dairy Bar, Happy China as well as Wine Authorities, Beer Study, Rumors, & Rockwood Barbershop). Plus, just down the street is Foster’s, Guglhupf, and The Refectory Cafe!

• Golden Belt ( Hi-Wire, tattoos, art, hot yoga, & haircuts!), & Nolia Family & Coffee (LOVE!) is just over 2 miles – a 6 minute drive!

• On your way to Golden Belt, you’ve pass Ponysaurus, JC’s Kitchen, The Fruit, Honeygirl Meadery, and Bull City Ciderworks – all just under 2 miles away.

• 6 minutes up Alston Avenue and you are at  Sofia’s Pizza (double YUM!), and other Old East Durham shops and services – like The Durham Green Flea Market where the fruit cup stand is to die for!

• Want to grab some food at one of the many delicious eateries in downtown or any of the other downtown attractions (Durham Bulls, DPAC, American Tobacco Campus, breweries, and music and entertainment spots)? It is less 3 miles to the heart of downtown.

• Just past downtown, you’ll hit the Warehouse and Central Park Districts where you can catch a show at Motorco, grab BBQ from The Pit, toss some axes at Urban Axes or relive childhood at Boxcar.

• You’ll be 4 miles to the West End (think Durham Co-op, Grub, Joe Van Gogh, Al-Taiba Halal Market, Gibson Girl Vintage).

• 4 miles to Duke’s East Campus and 9th St (think Whole Foods, Alpaca Peruvian Chicken, Happy+Hale, Cosmic Cantina, Heavenly Buffaloes,  Bull City Escape, and the list goes on).
